New Interactive Exhibits at Historic Speedwell

NETG recently installed two interactive exhibits at Historic Speedwell in Morristown, New Jersey. Historic Speedwell is known as the “Birthplace of the Telegraph.” It was here that Alfred Vail and Samuel Morse held the first public demonstration of the Electro-Magnetic Telegraph in 1838.

Visitors are able to participate in this historic event at the “Public Demonstration” interactive exhibit. Visitors help Vail and Morse solve various mechanical problems with the telegraph and then view the demonstration.

The “From Speedwell to Today” interactive exhibit traces the growth of communications from the telegraph to today’s wireless networks.

NETG wrote all the software for these exhibits.
